This mug is a translucent, wheel-thrown porcelain mug created by artist Antoinette Badenhorst. It is part of her functional dinnerware line, known for being both lightweight and durable. The mug is made from high-fired porcelain, which, when fired to vitrification, becomes a strong, glasslike material known for its translucency.

Antoinette refers to porcelain as the "Diva of clay". The design features an abstract, hand-painted floral or leaf pattern using vibrant rose-like design. The colors include washes of green, orange, and light blue on a white base. The art style is inspired by nature and humanity, with the flow of the design reflecting how she sees the world. Each piece is unique and often involves a mix of wheel-throwing and hand-building techniques. The handle has a curved, organic shape, designed to be comfortable to hold.

Beyond its artistic value, the mug is designed for everyday use. It is microwave safe and durable enough for the dishwasher.
