This porcelain-enveloped bowl is handmade. The foot is wheel-thrown. The top part of the envelope is carved and altered with raised, flowing lines that spiral and curve upward from the base to the rim. These lines create a sense of movement and mimic the natural veins and folds of a plant's leaves or petals. The inside of the envelope is spray-painted with Antoinette's own pottery glaze recipe and high-fired in an electric kiln. This is one of her one-of-a-kind signature translucent porcelain creations.
