ABOUT ANTOINETTE

Antoinette Badenhorst is an internationally exhibited ceramic artist and porcelain specialist whose professional career in ceramics began in 1981.
Her work and teaching are centered on porcelain—its unique character, technical challenges, possibilities, and expressive potential. Over more than four decades, she has developed extensive experience in wheel throwing, hand building, altering, carving, design, glazing, firing, and solving the technical problems associated with porcelain.
Antoinette has taught ceramic artists, students, teachers, and community groups throughout the United States, Canada, Mexico, Europe, and South Africa. She teaches through hands-on workshops, lectures, demonstrations, private studio instruction, and online education.
Her work has been exhibited on five continents and in 14 countries, and she has been featured in books, magazines, newspapers, radio, podcasts, and television programs in both English and Afrikaans.
She is also an author, technical writer, exhibition curator, juror, mentor, and certified Teaching Artist specializing in arts integration.
