Sculpted Bowls & Vessels
The bowl has remained an important starting point throughout my work in porcelain. Over time, these forms have moved beyond the traditional vessel as I alter, carve and build upon them, allowing individual elements to reach, fold, overlap and interact.
Light and shadow become part of the form, particularly where thin porcelain allows light to pass through the walls. Although the work has changed over time, the vessel continues to provide a place for me to explore movement, relationship and balance.
