Antoinette do not replicate her mugs. Although she works in series or sets, it is always carved free hand. She will draw the design with a pencil onto the raw clay and then carve it with pottery tools to obtain definition.
She use glazes recipes that she developed over many years and that are mixed from scratch in her studio. These glazes emphasize and enhance her work to be unique and one-of-a-kind works of art. There are always small irregularities in her work, evidence of the artisan hands. |
