Jack Sures is one of Canada's premier ceramicists and art educators. He was instrumental in establishing the ceramics department at the University of Saskatchewan, Regina Campus (now the University of Regina). He worked and exhibited in Japan, Paris, London, USA, and was appointed by the United Nations Handcraft Development Program to set up a ceramics program in Grenada.
