Antoinette presents family friendly community projects in her studio

Additionally to the regular pottery classes in the studio of Antoinette, she offers opportunities to the public to do short projects in a busy schedule. Scroll down to see how you may be able to take advantage from one of many studio events.

Let's make Hearts

Picture
Come join me in my studio as we will make hearts to celebrate and embrace 2023.
This is the first event of the year for the general public in my studio. The intent is to give the public an opportunity to go behind the scenes of the work of a potter. Work with pottery clay and find out how relaxing it is to be involved in an art or craft.
Bring your children and see how it opens up a part of their brain that will help them improve their hand eye coordination, their ability to to gain insight in subject matter in school.
Make your hearts and have them in time for Valentines Day.

Antoinette's different planned events

Event

Children at play

Description of event
Every child like to play with clay. If you have a special event like a child's birthday party coming up, we can do it in my studio. I can handle up to 10 children. They will make a project and you can pick it up once it is fired.

Cultural exchange

Pottery is a world activity with 1000's of years of history behind it. In every culture it is done differently. In the pottery  studio the language becomes universal, while the exchange of culture becomes an unique experience.

Empty Bowls

Empty Bowl making  is an event in which Antoinette involves the community  to benefit the Salvation Army Woman's' Auxiliary. The public get the opportunity to do team building, reunion or fellowship events in Antoinette's studio. See the scheduled events by clicking on the button.

Fellowships

Are you looking for an opportunity to reflect about life, ideas or concepts with a group of special people? The pottery studio is the perfect place to visit and have fun while you brainstorm, linger on and discuss ideas.

open house

My open houses are opportunities to see what is new in my showroom, to catch up with friends and to sample food.

Senior CITIZENS

Our senior citizens are not only smart with lots of experience and history under their belts, but they are curios about many things that we often take for granted. Short projects are the perfect thing to allow them to learn about things that they wanted to do years ago.

Team building

There are so many opportunities to strengthen your work team in the pottery studio. Discuss your needs with us. We can offer anywhere from 3 hours to 2 day team building opportunities. Koos Badenhorst has 40 years of corporate experience. His analytical business experience in combination with the clay experience of Antoinette will make the experience unforgettable. See ideas here.

Registration rules
  • The registration fees differ from project to project. Intricate projects and larger projects will be more expensive.
  • All finished projects can be collected from my studio when I let you know. This is normally within 2-4 weeks.
  • Children under 12 years MUST be accompanied by an adult 18 years or older
  • Fees are worked out according to the project, therefor other type of projects will not be allowed, unless discussed prior to project event.
  • All projects are hand built unless otherwise indicated.

Every person will make a bowl for the annual Empty Bowl project plus a different item according to the theme of the month under the leadership of Antoinette.
